Audley End is a historic manor house located in Essex, England. Volume 2 of Nathaniel Salmon's The History and Antiquities of Essex published in 1740 provides significant details on the Manor. One very unique feature of the book is its copper plates providing beautiful illustrations of the locations which complement the time period in which the book was written and published. Viewing these illustrations in juxtaposition to the contemporary guidebooks provides an informative picture of the changing landscapes of historic estates through time.
